This super-clean and modern hotel is sparkling! The staff were very friendly and helpful (but I needed my Russian friend to communicate most effectively), the room spacious, tidy, and convenient. The bathroom is awe-inspiring, with its huge space, shiny tiles, and modern, futuristic fixtures, along with a lighted mirror. The bed was very comfortable and the linens luxurious. The free wi-fi worked flawlessly, and the staff arranged for an early-morning taxi to take us to the closest Metro station before the bus connection started daily operations...and they even packed up our included breakfast for us, a very pleasant surprise. The closest bus stop is just a few minutes on foot from the front door, and the promenade between the tall buildings, directly in front of the entrance, was delightful with its flower beds, green grass, children's play areas, and plentiful benches on which to sit and chat. There is ample shopping nearby to acquire snacks or quick-preparation meals.
Location, which is ironic because part of why I picked it is its supposed proximity to Domodedovo airport, and the claim that they could arrange for a shuttle and that the Metro was close by. In actuality, there is no shuttle option other than an expensive taxi, and the closest Metro stop is a 15-20 minute public bus ride away, since the Metro stop mentioned as being close by is still under construction, as are both the track and tunnel to get to it. It took us an hour to go from the hotel to the closest station of the Metro's Brown Line (the ring) around the city, using the bus and Metro! Stated included amenities, because "Laundry" was listed as an amenity but when we inquired after its locale, we were told that they don't have one and we had to wash in the sink or tub. Also, when we inquired after the pool and sauna, we were told it was available only by way of an outrageous daily surcharge. Full disclosure makes for happy guests!
